Marie Grimes

The death of Marie Grimes occurred at her residence on April 11, 2024 at the age of 79. She was the wife of the late Allan Grimes. 

Marie is survived by her children; Andy Grimes and Tara Lee McNeil, son in law; Donald McNeil, siblings; Shirley Connors, Jean Parent (Jonny), Robert Connors (Bonnie), nieces and nephews; Melissa, Twyla, Lise, Joy, Penny, Pamela, Lisa, Marcy, Vincent, Chad and David as well as her godchildren; Julie, Chelsea, Damon, and Cayden.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by husband Allan Grimes, and sister Lucy Comeau (Late Omer Comeau) god parents to Tara Lee.

In Marie’s younger years she worked in Atholville making Telephones. Marie enjoyed working in her garden and her flower garden. She took pictures in her flower garden, nature, and the wild life. She enjoyed making flower arrangements and making jewelreys in her pass times . Marie and her sister Shirley are always game for a good yard sale hunt. She was a member of the CWC  at Our Lady of the Visitation Church in Benjamin River. She was a member of the Glenburnie Women’s Institute of Charlo . Her favourite TV shows were The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and the new one The Golden Bachelor. 

A special thank you to Dr. Vona MacMillan for the care she gave Marie and thank you to Aunt Shirley for taking time to be with mom since the passing of Allan. 

A funeral service is to be announced. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
