January 24, 1953 ~ August 21, 2017 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Donna Marie Landry

The death of Donna Landry of Belledune occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Monday, August 21st at the age of 64. Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Katherine (Burns) Brown.

Donna is survived by her husband, Dr. Jean-Paul Landry, children Angelique Landry-Arsenault (Scott) of Statesboro, Georgia, Janita Landry of Savannah, Georgia, Renee Landry of Statesboro, Georgia, Jacob Landry of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joshua Landry of Belledune, Krystle Steinhoff (Robert) of Denver, Colorado, 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brothers John, Larry, and Ronnie, as well as sisters Flo Guitard and Lois Gillespie.

She touched the hearts of many throughout her life with her never ending kindness, compassion and radiant smile that we will forever remember. She was a beautiful wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and friend.

She was the pillar of her family and filled her home with happiness and love. At the age of 16, she fell in love and later married JP, the love of her life. She was passionate in everything she did. From raising a beautiful family of six children to being involved with the family farm and as a business partner, there was nothing she and her husband couldn’t conquer together.

Many of her fondest memories were of the endless special moments and times she spent with her family and loved ones. Being a wife, a mother and a friend, as well as cooking, traveling, helping out on the farm, swimming in her pool, trips to the beach, singing and laughing and family gatherings were a few of the many wonderful things she truly enjoyed. She loved being pregnant and enjoyed every one of her children and found absolute enjoyment as she watched her family grow.  She will be remembered by the smell of her Red Door perfume, her lipstick on her coffee cup, her beautiful hair and nails, as well as by songs she sang, such as "The Little Red Riding Hood", "Little Boxes on a Hillside", "Que Sera" and songs from The Sound of Music she sang to her precious children and their children.

She became a grandmother to eleven amazing grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who all held a special place in her heart.  As time moves forward, her children and grandchildren will forever remember the soothing and comforting sound of her voice as she would softly hum the "Braham’s Lullaby" as she rocked each and every one of them to sleep.

Her home was surrounded by the most beautiful rose garden, planted by her husband who was her best friend and soulmate. This rose garden represented his endless love for her. She always had roses in a vase that he would pick for her that would fill the air with the most beautiful fragrances that she loved.

As her rose garden will continue to bloom, memories of her will also continue to grow as thoughts of her will be watered with tears of joy from every breathtaking moment she had created and left behind for all of us. Her gentle voice will be remembered in the whispers of the wind and through the laughter and giggles of her children and their children as well, and through the sounds of the pitter-patter made by tiny little feet for generations to come. Her songs and lullaby will forever continue to play in our hearts as we remember the softness of her skin and comforting hugs as her children and their children wrap themselves in the softest blankets which will cover them with her Love.

As she rests peacefully, her endless love will forever remain in our hearts.

A private funeral will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
