Valmond Hickey

   The death of Valmond Hickey of Lorne occurred at his home in Moncton NB Tuesday, July 30th, 2019 at the age of 71. Born in Lorne, he was the son of Cecile (Carrier) and the late Sanford  Hickey.

  Valmond is survived by his mother Cecile Hickey of Lorne, his children Barbara LaPointe (Donnie) of Gravelhill, Conrad O’Brien of Bathurst, Noreen Hickey (Leslie Godin) of Lorne, Matthew Hickey (Rebecca Koot) of Riverview; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren as well as his 9 brothers Ivan, Adolph, Gerald, Edward, Leon, Johnny, Stanley, Rejean, Rene and 5 sisters Yvonne, Simonne, Barbara, Lisa and Kim. He was predeceased by his wife Yvette (O'Brien).

   His funeral will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church, Lorne on Tuesday, August 6th at 3 PM with visitation at the Lorne funeral Parlour Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 as well as Tuesday from 2 until 2:45. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
