Viola (LaPointe) Hickey

   Viola Hickey

   It is with immense sorrow that we announce the death of Viola Hickey of Mountain Brook which occurred July 22, 2019 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 82. Born in Eel River Crossing, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Josephine (Allain) LaPointe. 

   Viola is survived by her children Richard (Rachel) of Mountain Brook, Roger (Rita) of Mountain Brook, Ramona (Gilles) of Eel River Crossing, Rina (Eugene) of Eel River Crossing, Roland (Sandra) of Mountain Brook, Reginald (Leonard) of Flatlands, Rita (Denis) of Mountain Brook; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; siblings Melvin, Norman, Ida, May, Lucie, Norbert as well as many sisters and brothers in law. She predeceased by her husband Delphis; siblings Rose, Alma, Raymond, Clarence, Patrick, as well as several brothers and sisters in law.

   Her funeral will be held from St. Francis Xavier Church, Charlo Friday, July 26, at 4 pm with visitation at Savoie Funeral Parlour 10 Church St. Eel River Crossing,Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 and Friday from 2:30 until 3:30. Donations to the Dumont Hospital Tree of Hope in memory of Viola would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.

C’est avec une immense tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Viola Hickey de Mountain Brook à l’Hôpital régional de Campbellton, le lundi 22 juillet 2019, à l’âge de 82 ans. 

Elle était l’épouse de feu Delphis Hickey et la fille de feu Ernest Lapointe et de feu Joséphine Allain.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Richard (Rachel), Roger (Rita), Ramona (Gilles), Rina (Eugène), Roland (Sandra), Réginald (Léonard) et Rita (Denis); 11 petits-enfants; 11 arrières-petits-enfants; ses frères et sœurs: Melvin (Ella), Normand (Monique), Ida (feu Réginald), May (feu Normand), Lucie (Gilbert) et Norbert (Pierrette), ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères et belles-sœurs.

Elle repose désormait auprès de son époux; ses parents; ses frères et sœurs: Rose, Alma, Raymond, Clarence et Patrick, ainsi que plusieurs beaux frères et belles sœurs. 

Les funérailles auront lieu en l’Église Saint-François Xavier de Charlo, le vendredi 26 juillet 2019 à 16h.

Les visites auront lieu au Salon funéraire Savoie, 10 rue de l’Église, Eel River Crossing, le jeudi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h ainsi que le vendredi de 14h30 à 15h30.

Un don à la Fondation CHU-Dumont «Arbre de l’Espoir» serait grandement apprécié par la famille.

Les arrangements ont été confiés aux soins professionnels de la Maison funéraire MacMillans, Black Point.
