Allard St Coeur Obituary

Allard Joseph St. Coeur

Allard Joseph St. Coeur of Belledune, NB passed away peacefully on February 11th after a brief, but courageous encounter with cancer.

Born on December 23rd, 1944 to Jean-Louis & Corinne (Robichaud) St. Coeur of Neguac, NB, he passed at 75 years young.  He is predeceased by his parents and brother Midas and survived by 4 brothers and 6 sisters, numerous nieces and nephews who all adored him.

He loved his family and is survived by his wife, Anastasia of Belledune, daughter Brenda of Bathurst, son Alan (Sheila) of Pointe-Verte and daughter Connie of Quispamsis.  His 6 grandchildren, Krystal, Amber, Alex, Theoren, Benjamin & Joshua and his 6 great grandchildren Allie, Aubrey, Islay, Bryson, Maci and Jayden were all a great source of pride and happiness for him, as any time spent with them was filled with laughter and fun.

He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, hiking, 4-wheeling & snowmobiling.  He also was very active in his community with hockey, which he still enjoyed playing defense twice per week, as well as golfing throughout the summer with his son and best friend, Alan.  He has passed on his love of nature and an active lifestyle to his family.

He enjoyed a long and fulfilling 35 year-career at Brunswick Smelter where he made many friends and would often recount stories of the crew.  He held several positions during his tenure there: blast furnace, material handling, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Town Truck Driver.

He either already knew or made a new friend everywhere he went.  He always had a smile and made everyone feel welcomed wherever he was.  His joie de vivre and happy-go-lucky attitude will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Belledune, NB from 1-2pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2pm on Monday, February 17th, 2020.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home Black Point.
