Anne Marie Richard beloved Grammy, mother, sister and Mimi to so many passed away peacefully Sunday October 5th to be reunited with my father.
My mother was a strong, generous and loving woman. I learned so much about family from her and always knew that her love for us had no limits. Her grandchildren, Daniel and Riley were her greatest source of pride from the moment they were born. She was a fun and loving grammy who they will miss. She was a caregiver to so many throughout her life and saw family as being important above all else.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Natalie (Kevin) Leblanc, sisters: Norma Gallant, Lorraine (Tony) Chamberlain, and Huguette (Auley) Mallaley and her brothers Edgar (Joyce) Godin, Gerald (Norma) Godin, Roger (Susan) Godin, and Jean-Marie (Cathy) and her many nieces, nephews and other family members. She had a special relationship with her niece Crystal Gulliver (Dale) to whom she proudly provided family recipe instructions.
Besides her parents Alfred Godin and Eva Godin (nee Chamberlain), she is predeceased by husband Gerard Richard, brothers Terry Godin, Alonozo Godin, sister Anne, and nephew Claude Gallant.
To her caregiver Tiffany Aube, you became family. You provided her with kindness, patience and compassion. Thank you so much for your presence in her life.
A funeral service will be held at MacMillan & Drapeau Chapel, Benjamin River on October 27, 2025 at 2pm. There will be a reception at Lorne Community Hall following the burial.. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMilllan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
