Annie Beattie Obituary

Annie Beattie

The death of Annie Beattie of Nash Creek occurred at Chaleur Regional Hospital, April 10, 2021 at the age of 95. Born in Salmon Beach, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Mable (McConnell) Smith.

Annie is survived by her children Jean (Ralph) of Ontario, Gordon, Linda Beattie Lapointe of Nash Creek, Eric (Line), Carol (Phil) Larabie, and Arthur. As well as 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased buy her husbands Gordon Beattie and Norman Godin;sister Eleanor and brothers Bob and Maurice.

Mom was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed simple things. She loved playing bingo and Queen of Spades. She loved meeting people especially going to town for Tim’s and having a coffee and a muffin. She loved listening to music especially Bill Mullen singing gospel songs. She believed very strong about being honest and doing things the right way and always treating others with respect. We learned our manners from her.

In our eyes she was a great and wonderful woman and she will be missed very much.

Many thanks to the extra-mural nurses and the doctors and nurses with her care. A special thank you to Doris Lapointe, her home care worker who treated our mom just like she was her own mother.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Annie, the family would appreciate donations to the “Heart snd Stroke Foundation.
