Austin Doucett

   The death of Austin Doucett of Becketville occurred July 14, 2021 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 81. Born in Becketville, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Hectorine (Hache) Doucett.

   Austin is survived by his stepdaughter Joan Parent (Jean-Eudes) of Belledune, step granddaughters Natalie Parent and Stephanie Parent both of Mascouche Quebec; siblings Mary Guitard, Agnes Doucett, Jeannette Carmichael and  John Doucet as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Alice (Guitard) and sisters Patsy Furlotte, Lillian Archibald and Ann Marie Gauthier.

   Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Belledune Monday, July 19, 2021  from 7-9 in the evening. Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at St. John’s Evangelist church on Tuesday. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
