Brenda Hickey 

    It is with great sadness, that we announce the death of our beloved mother Brenda Hickey, of Lorne, who passed away on July 14, 2024 at the age of 60. She was the daughter of Ivan Hickey and Joan Hickey.

    Brenda is survived by her children; Natasha (Marc) Hottot, Ryan Jason Hickey, and Zackary Jenkins (Nephew but like her son), parents; Ivan and Joan Hickey, her paternal grandmother Cecile Hickey. Grandchildren; Raylean (Sebastian) LaPointe and Landen Hickey, great grandchild Declan Marc LaPointe, as well as her siblings; Rose-Anne Hickey, Darlene Hickey, Clayton (Anita) Hickey, and Schenley (Melanie Dumas) Hickey. 

    She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandfather. 

    A timid woman who kept to herself, she spent a majority of time on her hobbies such as Bingo (Bingo Queen), Playing cards no matter the game, and her daily 3 o’clock special watching General hospital. Her favourite pass time was spending time with her beloved great grandson Declan, she nicknamed him Ralf and it stuck to this day. 

    There will be no funeral service at this time, as per Brenda’s wishes. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
