Retired from the New Brunswick International Paper Mill (NBIP) in Dalhousie, NB, where he served faithfully as a Watchman at the Charlo Dam and as a patrolman on the pipeline. His commitment to his work reflected his strong sense of responsibility and pride in protecting the resources and community he cared for.
He was a wonderful man who was loved, admired, and respected by his family, his friends, and the community. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping with his dad and brothers Jim and Raymond. Beyond his career, Carl was a long-time fisherman of salmon and lobster, spending countless hours on the waters he cherished. Fishing was not only a pastime but a passion that connected him deeply to nature and to the beautiful Bay de Chaleur. In recent years, he found great joy in sharing this passion with his grandson, Kristofer.
He was a faithful servant of the Lord, a long-time serving elder of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Dalhousie, New Brunswick.
The MacNair family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Al Habash, Dr. Anine, Dr. Zohdy, the medical team, and the staff of the Campbellton Regional Hospital for their professional and compassionate care of our father.
A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Dalhousie, NB, during the summer, with interment to follow at the Dalhousie Riverview Cemetery, Extension of New Mills, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
