Claude Moore Obituary

It is with deep sadness and great sorrow that the family of Claude Moore of New Mills, N.B. announce his passing at the age of 65. Claude's death occurred at the  Campbellton Regional Hospital on Friday, October 8th, 2021.

Born in New Mills, NB on July 31st, 1956. Claude was the son of Eugene and Hazel Moore ( Nee Harquail ) Claude was a kind, and generous person who cherished his family and friends and who made it a point to put others before himself. " " Claudie " also had a terrific sense of humor and he loved being able to bring a smile to others as well. Everyone who knew Claudie, even if it were briefly could sense his sincerity,  and genuineness and his goodness of heart and it was why so many people liked him.

Claude had a wide range of interests and passions, but his love of sport was the greatest. A super Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan, Claudie will be now cheering for the blue and white from his private box in the sky. In his younger days Claudie was an avid hockey and baseball player and fan. He was instrumental in getting the Belledune Gentleman's Hockey Tournament off the ground and he was a fixture at the rink every March as a coach. He was the G.M. of the Belledune Mooseheads when they won the Maritime Baseball Championships in 1991 in Charlottetown, PEI. Claudie had a sharp eye for baseball talent and he helped put together the team that won it all in '91. He also played and coached softball locally for many years in the 80s and 90s.

In addition to his parents, Claude will be sadly missed by his sister Gail ( Moore ) Pond, New Mills, brother Glenn, New Mills, nephews Jade Moore, Justin Guitard, and Glenn's ex wife Rhonda. Claude will also be greatly missed by his many uncles, aunts, and cousins. A graveside service for Claude will be held at the Benjamin River Cemetery on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11 am. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point..
