The death of Daniel Losier of Fredericton, occurred accidentally in Fredericton on October 15, 2022 at the age of 42. Born in Belledune, the son of Eugene and Debbie (Carrier) Losier.
Daniel is survived by his parents Eugene and Debbie; children Taylor, Ethan, Gavin and Rowen; grandson Declan; sister April (Luke) of Green Point as well as his aunt Brenda (Jim) Hilliard of Lorne.
Daniel Losier joined the Canadian Armed Forces in October 2000. He started his career in the reserve force with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal NB Regiment from 2000-2002. In 2002 Dan decided to transfer to the regular force, where he served until he retired in 2021. As a member of 2nd Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment Dan served on 3 international missions. Haiti in 2004, and 2 combat tours in Afghanistan in 2007 and 2010. Finally, in 2017 Dan was promoted to Sergeant, where he served as Lav Sgt in India company and in Operations Cell.
His funeral service will be held at the St. John Evangelist Church, Belledune on Wednesday October 26, 2022 at 11am. Legion members branch 77 Durham are asked to assemble at the church 15 minutes before the service. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
