It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis W. Guitard of Jacquet River on September 15, 2025 at the age of 63 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Michael Guitard and the late Victorine (Vautour) Guitard.

Dennis is survived by his wife Lise, son Logan, daughter-in-law Grace and grandson Hunter. He also leaves behind his brother Marcel and sisters; Janice (Tommy), Diane and Emily (Gerard), nephews; Michael, Todd, and Eric and nieces; Cindy and Amy, great nephews; Dylan, Caleb, Zachary, and Alex, great nieces; Mya, and Celine and in-laws Alex and Anna Lavigne and the Lavigne Family.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother Marc.

Dennis loved the great outdoors and the activities that came with it. He loved hunting moose, deer, partridges, loved fishing and could always find him down at the wharf by the train bridge fishing in the spring of the year. He loved going out for a drive on the 4-wheeler, if he could keep it running.

Lately his time was spent on being a grandfather to Hunter, which he was so proud of being Papa.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the donor’s choice.

The family would like to thank the staff at the ICU at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst for their wonderful care of Dennis and compassion to the family.

A funeral service will commence for Dennis at the MacMillan & Drapeau Chapel, Benjamin River on October 03, 2025 at 2pm. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
