Donald “Blondie” LaPointe
November 27, 1956 - January 30, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Blondie. Who passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on January 30, 2024 at the age of 67.
Blondie is survived by his Stepmother Edna of Lorne. His brother; Leonard of Dalhousie, Danny (Barbara) of Lorne, Angus Jr. (Collette) of Lorne, Stacy (Sherrie) of Boiestown, sisters; Donna of Tennessee, USA, Wanda of Shediac, Bonnie (Connie) of Lorne, Tammy (Malcom) of Lorne, and Betty (Bruce) of Lorne.
His is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family from Sussex and too many friends to mention.
He was pre-deceased by his mother Charlotte, his father Angus Sr, his Brother Wayne and 2 infant sisters.
Blondie loved snowshoeing and driving his scooter which he was so proud of. He loved anything with wheels except for Fords. He was a big Chev guy. He made an impact on everyone who met him. No matter what life threw at him he kept going.
A special thanks going out to Extra-Mural and Dr. R. Wilson and all who showed support and kindness at this very difficult time.
A viewing will take place at MacMillan & Drapeau Chapel in Benjamin River on Thursday, February 01 from 6pm-8pm. Burial will take place at New Mills cemetery on May 22, 2024 at 12:20pm. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
