Donald Gauvin

Donald Gauvin, 70 passed away on October 04, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was the loving husband of Shirley Gauvin (Morin). They shared 42 years of marriage together.

Born in Dalhousie NB, he was the son of the late Wilfred Gauvin and Stella Gauvin (Guitard).

Besides his wife, he will be sadly missed by daughter Christine Miller (Jeff Miller), grandchildren Cole Miller and Kendall Miller, brothers and sisters Gabriel Gauvin (Ginette), Leander Gauvin (Linda), Emily Gauvin (Leo) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousin and aunts.

He was pre-deceased by his brother Maurice Gauvin and nephew Maurice Jr. Gauvin.

Donald worked at the Dalhousie Mill for 34 years and then went onto different jobs. He loved all kinds of activities, hiking, camping, and being busy in general from mowing the lawn, to shining his cars but most of all he loved his family. He was a very proud father and grandfather.

A funeral service will be held at the St John Bosco, Dalhousie on  Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11am . In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
