Donald LaPointe 

    The death of Donald Lapointe of Doyleville occurred December 15, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 84. Born in Murchie Settlement, he was the son of the late Harry and Charlotte (Carrier) Lapointe. 

   Donald was a man that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He worked for the D.O.T. and loved spending time in the woods. Anything from watching western movies and hanging out with his cat; to spending days at the beach digging for clams, he loved it all. Donald was an easy going man that got along with everyone. He was well liked by the community and will be greatly missed.  

    Donald is survived by his wife Viola, and their children Carol Anne Lapointe of Bouctouche, Cheryl Taylor (Wallace) of Shediac River, Crystal Lapointe of Barachois, Naskiau Lapointe (Anthony) of Charlo, Mowines Lapointe of Campbellton; his 2 grandchildren Gianna and Solomon; foster grand children Keisha, Alannah and Tim; his daughter Madonna Fitzgerald (Dwayne) of Campbello Island, 2 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as his brother Alison (Simmie). He was predeceased by his daughters Christine, Donna; son J.R. and sister Betty Carrier 

    Due to covid restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at St. Gabriel’s Church in Jacquet River. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
