It is with heavy hearts that the family of Doreen Carter announce her peaceful passing on Sunday July 13th at the Campbellton hospital at the age of 92.
Born in Dalhousie NB on February 5th, 1933, she was one of 10 children cherished by the late Charles and Melvina Carter of Dalhousie.
Doreen is survived by her sister Theresa Maxelon and many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Doreen loved her hometown and dedicated her life to being with her dear parents whom she took such wonderful care of.
She worked at the local Stedmans store in town for many years.
Doreen loved her weekly Bingo nights especially with her lifelong friends Alice & Yvonne.
She was a strong independent beautiful lady who took pride in everything she did.
Summers were spent with many family members who travelled every year to spend memorable vacations with her.
We hold so many fond memories of her fun spirit, sense of humour and incredible strength.
Doreen will be especially missed by her nephew Bobby Carter and his wife Wendy who took such exceptional care of her in her final years of life.
There will be a small private graveside service at her request in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
