Esther Mary Roy

It is with sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Esther Roy, which occurred at the Manoire Brise de l’Oasis, in Bathurst at the age of 95.

She was born in Belledune on April 3rd, 1929, to Albina Doucette and Horace Boulay Sr. 

Esther was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Eloi Roy.  She is survived by her children, Claudette (Yvon), Diane (Michael), Muriel, Yvette (Jim), Paul-Emile (Karla) and Michael (Nadine), Grandchildren, Sara, Andrea, Duane, Jeff, Chris, Katie, Line, Mathew, Andrew, Zachary, Jarid and Jasmine and great grandchildren, Sadie, Madison, Zoe, Caleb, Mya, Paul, Harvey, Grayson and Cooper and by her sisters, Bernadette and Anne. She was predeceased by  her mother and father, four brothers, Lionel, Horace Jr., Alfred, and Everett and eight sisters Doris, Sarah, Phyllis, Leamary, Mary, Theresa, Patricia and Carmel. 

Her funeral service will be held at the St. John Evangelist Church, Belledune on Thursday November 7th, 2024 at 11:30am with 2 hours visitation before the service from 9:30am to the time of the funeral (11:30). Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.  

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint John the Evangelist Parish of Belledune or a charity of the donors’ choice.
