Ethel Lanteigne

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of their mother, Ethel Lanteigne (Furlong) formally of Belledune at the age of 91, which occurred on February 19th, 2026.

Born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of the late Delima (Courty) and Thomas Furlong and wife of the late Hector (Pete) Lanteigne.  Ethel was the last surviving member of her family and is survived by her children:  Elain Lanteigne (Late Howard) of Stonehaven NB,  Thomas (Patty Ann) of Tabusintac NB,  Mary Katherine Lanteigne-Schildan (Gordan) of Oregan USA, Carl (Tammy Gray) of New Mills NB,  Myrtle Coakley (Andrew) of Fort McMurry AB.

She is also survived by her 13 Grand-Children, 19 Great-Grand Children and 3 Great-Great-Grand Children.

She was also pre-deceased by one child, Mary Dorena Lanteigne (Norman Godbout) of Quebec.

The Family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Valley Lourdes for the great care give to their mother during her time of stay.

There will be no visitation at this time.  Funeral Service will take place in the spring at the church in Belledune.  Arrangement are in the care of McMillian Drapeau funeral home, Black Point NB.
