It is with great sadness the family of Francis Carrier of Bathurst announce his passing on Thursday, the 14th of August at the age of 80.

Born in Lorne, on August 20, 1944 he was the son of the late Charles and Loretta (Furlotte) Carrier of Lorne. 

Francis is survived by his partner of more than 35 years Carol Coombs of Bathurst. His children; Rachel (Colin) Morehouse of Ottawa, Cheryl (Clifford) Joncas of Nash Creek, and Todd (Rica) of Moncton, his grandchildren; Ryan, Kathleen, Autumn, Sandy, Alex, Krista, Karie and Matthew as well as great grandchildren; Ava, Keegan, and Sloane. He is also survived by brothers Vernon of Bathurst and John of Lorne.

He was predeceased by his son Denis as well as his brother Leo Furlotte and sisters Lillian Lavigne and Adeline Godin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society . 

A graveside service will be held at St Maria Goretti Cemetery, Lorne on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 2pm, with a reception to follow at Cheryl and Clifford Joncas’s residence at 68 Lapointe Road, Nash Creek, New Brunswick. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMIllan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
