Jacqueline (LaPointe) Godin

Mary Jacqueline Godin nee LaPointe, cherished  mother passed away peacefully on November 7th, 2024.  Predeceased by her husband Onard Godin of 53 years.

Mom was born on April 10th, 1938 in New Mills where she spent all of her years. She was the daughter of James and Eva LaPointe.

Her church activities were of great importance to her and she served on the Catholic Women’s League for most her adult life, as well as participating in the church choir.

In the early years she taught at various local schools.

Mom’s interests included quilting, knitting and sewing throughout her life, the results of which were gifted to many family members and friends.

She is survived by daughters, Darlene (Jeff), Susan (Patrick), Eileen (Mark), and son David (Ashley).  Grandchildren, Adriana, Lauren, Christina, Sean, Hannah, Jordan and Jonah.

Surviving siblings include Lucy, Everette, Marjorie and Sherman. Predeceased by siblings Leander, Aurel, Alphonse and Camille.

A private family service to celebrate Jackie’s life will take place at a later date.
