James Jalbert

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James C Jalbert of Dalhousie which occurred at the Villa Renaissance nursing home on September 9, 2025 at the age of 84.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late James J Jalbert and Teresa (Foran).

James is survived by his devoted wife Pierrette (McIntyre) of 63 years and sons James Junior (Karen) and Vincent (Sonya). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Curtis (Sarah), Alysha, Jonah (Kelsey), and Jessica, his great grandchildren: Jane, Lily and Noah as well as sisters Gertrude Harrison of Dalhousie, Kathryne Dalling of Saint John.

James had many interests from training dogs, hunting, and playing the guitar.  His family was always his top priority.

Funeral service will be celebrated at the Saint Jean Baptiste church in Dalhousie on September 18th at 11:00 am.  There will be no visitations.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Villa Renaissance or the donor’s choice is appreciated.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa Renaissance and the transition unit at the Campbellton Regional hospital for the exceptional care given to James.
