James Lee Meade

The death of Lee Meade of Fredericton occurred suddenly at his residence September 27, 2023, at the age of 55. Raised in Becketville, he was the son of the late Hubert Meade and Velda (Brown) Guitard.

Lee is survived by his spouse Tanya Hickey and son Jordan of Fredericton, siblings John (Helen), Anne (Morris), Katherine, Dean, Guy (Sarah) and Valerie (Randy), Stepfather Allan Anderson, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Kevin and nephew DJ.

Lee was a jack of all trades, working throughout the years as a roofer, landscaper, and concrete finisher. His joys came from fishing, hunting, hiking with Tanya, taking care of his house plants, being a jokester and watching the Blue Jays. He was most proud of his son for getting his Power Engineering degree. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the St. Gabriel’s Cemetery in Jacquet River on Saturday, October 7th at 11 am with a reception to be held at the Jacquet River Legion following the service. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan and Drapeau funeral Home, Black Point.
