Jeanne-Mance McIntyre

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Jeanne-Mance McIntyre de Bathurst, épouse bien-aimée de Carl, décédée paisiblement à l’Hôpital régional de Bathurst le 25 avril 2026, à l’âge de 77 ans. Née à Balmoral, elle était la fille bien-aimée de feu Antoine et Blanche Cormier.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux, Carl; sa fille, Rachel (Kevin) de Balmoral; son petit-fils, Félix; ainsi que ses frères et sœurs :  Thérèse (Arthur) de Notre-Dame, Antonia (Paul) de Charlo, Victor (Monique) de Balmoral, Gaetane (Armand) de Balmoral, Rodrigue (Johanne) de Balmoral, Nico (Linda) de Saint-Quentin, Réjean (Linda) de Balmoral. Ainsi que deux belles-soeurs Cora (Murray) d’Eel River Crossing, Bidee (feu Gérald) de Tracadie et plusieurs neveux et nièces.

La famille désire remercier tout le personnel de l’Hôpital de Bathurst qui a pris soin de Jeanne-Mance, pendant les derniers mois.  Votre douceur, votre attention et votre humanité nous ont énormément soutenus à chaque étape. Jeanne-Mance était une personne de bienveillance et remplie d'amour.  Elle va être profondément manquée par sa famille et par tous ses amis qui l'aimaient. 

La famille désire également remercier, en dernier lieu, l'équipe des soins palliatifs, pour l'accompagnement auprès de Jeanne-Mance avec tant de respect et de bienveillance.  Dans ces moments difficiles, votre présence, votre écoute et votre dévouement ont été un véritable réconfort pour toute notre famille.  Recevez l'expression de notre profonde gratitude.

Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Benoît de Balmoral, le 4 mai 2026, à 11h00. Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés à la Maison funéraire MacMillan & Drapeau de Black Point.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanne-Mance McIntyre of Bathurst, beloved wife of Carl, who passed away peacefully at the Bathurst Regional Hospital on April 25, 2026, at the age of 77. Born in Balmoral, she was the cherished daughter of the late Antoine and Blanche Cormier.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Carl; her daughter, Rachel (Kevin) of Balmoral; her grandson, Felix; and her siblings: Thérèse (Arthur) of Notre-Dame, Antonia (Paul) of Charlo, Victor (Monique) of Balmoral, Gaetane (Armand) of Balmoral, Rodrigue (Johanne) of Balmoral, Nico (Linda) of Saint-Quentin, Réjean (Linda) of Balmoral as well as 2 sisters-in-law Cora (Murray) of Eel River Crossing,Bidee (late Gerald) of Tracadie and several nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the entire hospital staff who cared for Jeanne-Mance, during the past few months.  Your kindness attention and humanity have meant so much to us throughout every step of this difficult time. Jeanne-Mance was a person of compassion and great love.  She will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends who loved her.

The family would also like to thank, as a last, but by no means least, the palliative care team, for the compassionate and respectful care provided to Jeanne-Mance.  In these challenging moments, your pressure, your listening, and your dedication were a true comfort to our whole family. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude.

A funeral service will be held at St. Benoit Church in Balmoral on May 4th, 2026 at 11am. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
