The death of Jeanne Savoie of Dalhousie, wife of the late Everett, occurred at her residence on October 5th, 2023 at the age of 92. Born in Eel River crossing, the daughter of the late Adelard Leclair and the late Genivieve (Savoie) Leclair.
Jeanne is survived by her children Gary (Sharon Delaney), Carl (Lucie Perron), Susan (Richard Coulombe), Janet (Brian Hachey), James and David (Brandi Parker); 8 grand kids Nicole, Stephen, Ryan, Rodney, Laura, Felicia, Sara and Gary Jr; 6 great grand kids Ashley, Emily, Jayden, Maddux, Kaeli and Kynse; 5 step great grand kids Brody, Brayden, Addison, Hunter and Rogan as well as her in laws Secunda (Edward Beaulieu), Theresa (John Barbour) and Wendel (Ishbel).
Besides her parents and her husband Everett, she was predeceased by her siblings Gilbert (Anita Boudreau), Belonie (Gwen Armstrong), Felix (Rose Comeau), Denis, Lionel, Maurice (Georgette Bujold) and 2 grand children Jesse and Lynn.
Our Mother was a very strong, caring person who loved her family dearly. She was also very hardworking with many jobs over the years such as teaching, hair dressing and she did cleaning for the N.B.I.P mill.
After she retired, she did some traveling to Nashville, Florida and Western Canada, to name a few.
She loved bowling, bingo and playing cards with her family and friends. Her favourite game was the queen of spades, which she would always chose the winner of the previous game to be her partner.
She will be sadly missed by all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held at the St John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, on October 27, 2023 at 11 am. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
