It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Doyle of Mitchell Settlement, husband of Cora, who passed away peacefully in his sleep with his loved ones by his side at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on November 23, 2022 at the age of 89. Born in Mitchell, he was the son of the late Joseph Doyle and the late Nelda Daigle.
John is survived by his wife Cora McGregor; children Syliva (Miles), Doreena (Mike), Kim (Barry), Danny, Boyde, Chris, Paul, Darcey and Jason; sister Iva of Bathurst; brothers Louis of St John and Victor of Montreal; grandchildren Coralee, Tracy, Adam, Eric, Chrystal, Chelsea, John, Timmy and Collin as well as 10 great grand children and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his two sons John Jr. and Darrell; grandson D.J.; brothers Norman, Clement, Edward and Melvin; sisters Geraldine, Audrey and Irene.
John was a hard worker, always made sure his family wanted for nothing. He was hired on Brunswick Mining and Smelting during construction and stayed until his retirement in 1990. He always worried about his children and would never say no to them. He will be sadly missed by us all.
Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
