We celebrate the life of John Orville Hickey. He followed his own path for almost 95 years.
His special joys were animals especially dogs (Bobo & Toot). However, even spiders and mice were his friends. He loved all nature and took great pleasure in the outdoors. He could sit for hours listening to the birds and watching the ever changing sky.
He was a walker and a talker, telling great tales of the past when he was a boy in Jacquet River. He loved to cook especially his famous sukiyaki.
Orville took great pride and joy being an inventor and had many projects on the go at all times. He could not be still for long even with a walker.
By profession he was a welder and worked from coast to coast in Canada.
He will be missed by his many friends and is survived by a large extended family.
Internement service will be held in the Summer of 2024. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
