It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Joseph (Joey) Furlotte of Jacquet River announce his passing on October 05, 2022 at the Bathurst Regional Hospital at the age of 77. Born in Noel Settlement, he was the son of the late Daniel and Marion (LaPointe) Furlotte.

Joey was a control room operator at Brunswick Smelter for over 35 years. He was a great nature lover enjoying various activities outdoors in his spare time.

Joey is survived by his wife Iris (Bernard); daughter Dana Furlotte of Scarborough; son Ryan of Moncton; grandchildren Daniel and Tori Furlotte; great grandchildren Danyel-Rae and Dawn as well as his siblings Orma, James, Ronald and Mae. He was predeceased by his brother Nelson and sisters Irma and Greta.

His funeral will be held at St. Gabriels Church, Jacquet River on October 21, 2022 at 2 PM. Reception at Jacquet River Legion after the service. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
