Our dear mother Karen (Noel) (Roherty) Scott, 69, of Belledune, NB, Canada, sadly passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, due to a short but brave battle with cancer, on January 24, 2024, with loved ones at her side. She was a wonderful mother, and grandmother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community.
Born on July 20, 1954 to the late Delphis and Marjorie (Donnelly) Noel of Mitchell Settlement, NB she was 1 of 8 children. At the young age of 18, she was married to the late Al Roherty of Belledune. The two shared two daughters together. Kendra Roherty MacIsaac (Bob) of Qu’Appelle SK and Kristie Roherty Carrier (Mike) of Belledune, NB. The two eventually divorced in 1991 but always, to the surprise and intrigue of others remained the best of friends. So much so that our father was the chosen videographer at our mothers second wedding, to Keith Scott of Salmon Beach in 2003. The two were wed in one of her favorite spots, her back yard. Mom and Keith enjoyed the outdoors together, taking drives in the woods, on four wheelers, trucks, or snowmobiles. The two very much enjoyed nature.
Mom was happiest when working on a project at her home, be it a construction project such as a home renovation, building a night table for her grandson, refinishing a piece of furniture or working in her yard planting flowers, trees, vegetables or other plants. There is not an inch of her yard that was not touched by her rake.
Her home and yard where her most prized possessions, next to her family and friends.
She was a kind patient person who took great care of her loved ones. She was fun loving, and unpredictable, you never knew if or when a food or water fight would break out.
Karen was predeceased by her parents Delphis and Marjorie, her brothers Reggie and Lynus, sister Lottie, late husband Keith Scott and best friend Al Roherty.
She is survived by her daughters Kendra (Bob) and Kristie (Mike) grandchildren Kyle, Alice, Cole, Kavanaugh and Kross.
brothers Garnet (Linda), and Brice (Kim) and sister Beverly.
We will continue to remember all she taught us but most of all at this time, how to be strong women just like our mom. This isn’t goodbye, it is only see you later.
