It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Krystal Margaret MacLellan, 29, of Miramichi who passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 23, 2022.  She is the beloved daughter of Diane (Lavigne) and Cameron MacLellan and soulmate, Connor MacDonald.

Krystal is also survived by her grandmother, Hazel; aunts and uncles Wayne (Terry), Darlene (Margo), Rose-Marie (Danny), Barbara (Gordont), Willena (Alex), Theresa, Elizabeth (Jordan), Raymond, Rose (Donald), Geraldine (Steven), Donald (Mary), Margie, Francis (Annette), Bernie (Heather), Joan (Edward); as well as cousins Travis, Mandy, Cory, Penny, and Jackson.  Krystal was also well loved by Connor’s parents, Krista and Dale, and her very special bud, Ryan.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Delphis Lavigne; her paternal grandparents Willie Dan and Margaret MacLellan; her aunt Mary (Alex), uncles Rannie and Colin and cousin, Tammy. 

Krystal graduated from NBCC in 2017 and was working as a correctional officer at the women’s correctional and youth centre in Miramichi.  She had a love for hockey, the beach, watching the Golden Girls, and her family.

Indeed, Krystal had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul.  We will always remember her infectious smile and her caring personality.  Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed. 

A funeral service will be held at the St Gabriel’s Church, Jacquet River, on March 4, 2022 at 2pm. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.  

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Krystal’s name to the ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia or to Mental Health.
