It is with deep sadness that the family of Leandre Goulette announces his passing
at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 29, 2025, at the age of 82. A
native of Charlo, he was the son of the late Paul Goulette and Ethel (Giroux)
Goulette.
Leandre is survived by his beloved children: Cindy (Earl) Bovenizer of Dalhousie,
NB, Paul (Angela) Goulette of Dalhousie, NB as well as his grandchildren: Austin,
Terri-Lyn and Patrick.
He is also survived by his sister Almy (Bill) Chamberlain of Bathurst, NB and
Adolphe (Madelaine) Goulette of Charlo, NB; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Leandre started his career as an electrician at the NBIP papermill in Dalhousie,
NB. In 1971 looking for a change in career, he became an insurance agent for Co-
Op Insurance until 1982 where he started his own brokerage as Leandre Goulette
Ins until retirement in 2007. He also ran the pilot boat for many years in the local
bay.
Leandre also volunteered in many different organizations: Minor hockey, local
and provincial, Knights of Columbus, Rotary, receiving the Paul Harris award. He
was always willing give his time and not afraid to volunteer.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MacMillan and Drapeau Funeral Home in
Black Point.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Dalhousie Centennial Library, the Alzheimer’s
association of NB or the donor’s choice is appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Sunrise Manor for the exceptional
care given to Leandre.
