Lonnie J. Murphy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lonnie Murphy of Lorne, who  passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on November 27th, 2023 at the age of 68 surrounded by his family, after a battle with cancer.

Lonnie is survived by 11 siblings; Sylvester (Elva) of Moncton NB, Eugenia Lavigne of Lorne, Shirley of Bathurst, Dennis of Lorne, Sylvia Dey of Whitby ON, Connie Mallaley (Allan) of Lorne, Lindsay (Pauline) of Lorne, Brenda (David Mackenzie) of Doyleville, Lee(Jeanette) of Durham Centre, Alva Gray of Darlington NB,  and Clovis (Carol) of Durham Centre. He had no children of his own but Lonnie was a great uncle to all his nieces and nephews and will be missed by all. 

He was predeceased by his parents Stella & Sylvester Murphy and his sister Linda. 

He was a retired barber who travelled many places.

A graveside service will be held at the Saint Maria Goretti Cemetery on Friday May 24th, 2024 at 11am. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point
