With broken hearts and heavy tears we announce the death of John Louis Gauthier at the age of 71 on Monday, March 30, 2026 at his residence after battling cancer.

He will always be missed by his wife Sophia (Hickey) Gauthier married 29 years, together for 42. His world was his family sons; Jason Gauthier (Andrea) and Cody Gauthier (Kaitlyn), daughter Olivia Gauthier (Nick), grandchildren; Taylor, Connor, Kamron and Easton “Papa’s Booga Wooga”, brothers; Raymond, Sammy, Eugene, Walter Jr. , Hubert, and Daniel, sisters; Rita, Cecil, and Dorina.

He was predeceased by his son Joshua Gauthier, his parents Walter and Estella Gauthier, brothers; James and Andrew.

He always enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the woods and drinking a beer.

There will be no services to be held in respect of Louis’s wishes. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home.
