It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mable Lapointe, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Mable passed Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 87.
Born in Lorne, November 4th, 1937, she was the daughter of William Lapointe and Mary Gallen.
Mable will be deeply missed by her children and their spouses Randy (Joan), Elden (Kim), Mark, Kim (Brice), Debbie, Marlene (Keith). She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Ryan, Troy, Marcus, Nathan, Shane, Dylan, Annaka, Travis, Johnathon, Richie, and Hanna. We would like to say thank you to Karen Lapointe, who Mable thought of and loved as a second daughter, the family would also like to thank her for the excellent care that she provided her over the last years.
Mable is predeceased by her parents; her husband Arnold; her siblings May, Xavier, Leo, Ernest, Ruby, Hubert, Estelle, Elizabeth; and her children Guy, Gary, and Elric.
Throughout her 87 years, Mabel touched the hearts of many — ‘Mable's Place’ was always open. She had a boundless love for her family and friends and a great sense of humour. She was always ready to offer a welcome hug, a chat, and a laugh. None of us will ever forget the image of her waving and smiling as you pulled out of her driveway.
Friends and family are welcomed to celebrate Mable's life at a graveside service that will be held at St Joesphs Heritage Cemetery, Nash Creek on Thursday, June 12th. The service will begin at 11:00 AM with lunch to follow at the heritage site.
