Margaret (LaPointe) Doucett

It is with heavy hearts, that we the family shares the passing of Mrs. Margaret Doucett of Mitchell, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital surrounded by her family and loved ones on August 29, 2025 at the age of 75. She was the daughter of Gordon and Rose (Gallen) LaPointe.

She will be cherished by her Husband of 49 years John Doucett, children; Stephanie Doucett (Carl), Kirby Doucett (Nancy) and Vanessa Doucett (Alan), grandchildren; Jordon Dempsey (Jessica), Brandon Dempsey (Tenisha), Tyler Dempsey, Kayla Dempsey, Kayden Carrier and Addyson Carrier. Siblings; Donny (Donna) LaPointe, Joanie (Randy) LaPointe, Terry (Dale) LaPointe and Sharon (Gilles) LaPointe. As well as many nieces, nephews and family friends.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved son Todd, her brothers Herman, Eugene, Glen and sisters Marion and Cynthia.

Margaret was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who adored the time she spent with her family and friends. We will miss her greatly, and hold our memories close, as she will live on in our hearts forever.

A funeral Service for Margaret will be held at St Gabriel’s Church, Jacquet River on September 04, 2025 at 2pm. Funeral Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
