It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Mary Ellen Doskas, who left this world peacefully surrounded by family.
Mary Ellen dedicated many years of her life as a compassionate nurse at Dalhousie Regional Hospital, where her kindness, calm strength, and generous spirit touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues. Her legacy of care extended far beyond hospital walls—into her community, her friendships, and most of all her family.
She is predeceased by loving husband George John Doskas, her cherished brothers Williard and Douglas MacCurdy, and her loving parents Gertha and Bryon MacCurdy of Black Point New Brunswick.
Mary Ellen Doskas is survived by her children Bradley John, Lisa Anne, Dwayne George Doskas. Grandchildren Paige Ellen, Graham Shaw, Kale Matthew & Oliver Arjan Doskas as well as Nigel Alexander Leblanc, Eric William Donahue. Great Grandchildren Henry Leblanc, Jackson Labillois, Elisabeth Boudreau and Duncan Donahue.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved and missed dearly.
Mary's love, wisdom, and gentle humor will be missed more than words can ever express. Her memory lives on in the lives she touched and in the love she gave so freely.
We will celebrate her life with a memorial service on Monday the 30th of June at 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bathurst New Brunswick. Located at 1960 Palmer Dr. Following which there will be a small grave side committal service at the New Mills Cemetery, 1075 Chaleur St Charlo, New Brunswick
