Mary Stella Murchie

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Stella Murchie announces her passing on Thursday, June 9th, 2022. She was with her son and daughter when she passed away peacefully at the age of 73.

She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Gertrude (LaPointe) Hickey. She leaves behind to mourn her son Leigh (April), daughter Tanya, grandchildren Nikki (Evan), Ethan and Chelsea. She also leaves behind her siblings Adrian, Jocelyn, Ronnie, Philip, Michael and Greg. She was predeceased by her husband Ray and brother Eric. 

Mary Stella was born and raised in Nash Creek but made her home with her family in Doyleville. She was a hairdresser and loved her clients as much as they loved her. She was a pillar of the community. Always dedicating her time to her church and local organizations. She was known for her friendly smile and kind nature. 

Mary Stella was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. 

She will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held at the St. Joseph Cemetery, Nash Creek on June 16, 2022 at 2pm.

In place of gifts or flowers, we kindly ask that donations be made to St. Joseph's Heritage Site or Nash Creek cemetery upkeep.

Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan Funeral Home, Black Point.
