Michael McGregor Obituary

 

The death of Michael McGregor, husband of Darlene, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 11, 2025 at the age of 66. Born in Jacquet River, he was the son of the late William and Patricia (Furlotte) McGregor. 

Michael is survived by his wife Darlene Hickey-McGregor; daughter Candace (Chris Pelletier); grandchildren Scarlett Hickey, Rory Pelletier and Olivier Pelletier; siblings Kevin (Beatrice) McGregor, Karen (Danny) Roy and Susan (Late Ronald Hickey) as well as lots of nephews, nieces, cousins, great nephews, great nieces and the hickey family. 

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his father in law and mother in law. 

Michael had a big heart of love when it came to his families who he loved dearly. A big special part of his heart was having the grandkids around to play and have lots of fun. He loved the great outdoors from a young age he enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. He cherished his motorbike, skidoo and ATV which he always maintained. 

He was a member of the Atlantic Canada Regional Council of carpenters millwrights and allied workers local 1386 for 31 years, With approximately 15 years he spent working at the NB Power Generating Station in Belledune.

Thank you to the Campbellton Regional Hospital, ER department, Surgical department and palliative care unit for the wonderful care to Michael and compassion to his family. 

A celebration of life will be held at the Jacquet River Legion on November 8th, 2025 from 1pm to 3pm. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
