The death of Muriel Godin of Dalhousie occurred at the Villa Renaissance in Dalhousie on May 8, 2021 at the age of 85. Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Vibert Sr. and Regina (Bertin) Simmons.
Muriel is survived by her daughter Barb Doherty (John) of Dalhousie, Brian Godin (Christine) of Campbellton, Lori Gallie (Chris) of Moncton, siblings; Henrietta Fournier of Paris, Ontario and Vibert Simmons of Dalhousie; 5 grandchildren as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Gerald, son Alan as well her sisters Dinah Balfour and Ruth McGregor.
Her funeral will be held from the MacMillan Drapeau Chapel at 24174 Route 134 in Benjamin River on Saturday, August 7 at 11 am.The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of the Renaissance Nursing Home in Dalhousie for their loving and compassionate care that was given to our mother. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
