It is with profound sadness that the family of Myra Joncas announce her passing at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 20, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Myra was born on February 21, 1949, to the late Tim (Joseph) Thompson and Ruby Lapointe.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Gary and her nephew Brian (Thompson).

She is survived by her husband Aurele and daughter Cindy of Charlo, granddaughter Kayla and great-granddaughter Grace of Fredericton, brother Wayne (Diane) of Tracadie-Sheila) nephews, Kevin of Edmonton, Alberta, Michael of Oshawa, ON and Steven of Salmon Beach NB.

Myra was a lovely person, always smiling and happy to see you and she had a great sense of humor.  Her greatest joy was her family.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

A funeral service for Myra will be held at Saint-Trinity Church, Eel River Crossing on Friday, February 2th, 2024 at 4:00 pm with one hour visitation before the service followed by a reception after mass. (Everything will be held at the Saint-Trinity Church, Eel River) 

Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan and Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que la famille de Myra Joncas annonce son décès à l’Hôpital régional de Campbellton le 20 janvier 2024, après une longue et courageuse bataille contre la maladie de Parkinson.

Myra est née le 21 février 1949 de feu Tim (Joseph) Thompson et Ruby Lapointe.

Outre ses parents, elle a été prédécédée par son frère Gary et son neveu Brian (Thompson).

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Aurèle et sa fille Cindy de Charlo, sa petite-fille Kayla et son arrière-petite-fille Grace de Fredericton, son frère Wayne (Diane) de Tracadie-Sheila), ses neveux Kevin d’Edmonton (Alberta), Michael d’Oshawa (Ontario) et Steven de Salmon Beach (Nouveau-Brunswick).

Myra était une personne charmante, toujours souriante et heureuse de vous voir et elle avait un grand sens de l’humour. Sa plus grande joie était sa famille.  Elle manquera beaucoup à tous ceux qui la connaissaient. 

Un service funéraire pour Myra aura lieu en l'Église Sainte-Trinité, Eel River Crossing, le vendredi 2 février 2024 à 16h00 avec 1 heure de visite avant le service, suivie d'une réception après la messe. (Le tout aura lieu en l'Église Sainte Trinité, Eel River)
