Opal Duplessis

It is with great sadness we, the family announce the passing of our beloved sister Opal, wife of Dwayne Duplessis, which occurred on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 56.

Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late George Carrier and Cecile (Mallaley) Carrier.

She is survived by her husband, two sisters Peggy Carrier (Alphie), Sally Carrier (Barry), five brothers Owen Carrier (Debbie), Ronnie Carrier (Lorrina), Reggie Carrier (Linda), Adam Carrier (Shelly), Michael Carrier (Alice) and Claude Carrier, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Opal always enjoyed music, in her younger years she sang in church and played the accordion. She had a love for animals specifically for her dog Toonie and her cat Rally. You would often find her sitting in her favourite chair treat in hand taking in a movie or listening to music. Opal always looked forward to the birthday outings and celebrations with her sisters, much love and laughter was shared.

She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

As per Opal’s wishes there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
