In loving memory of our brother, Paul Culligan, born August 27,1935 deceased January 18, 2025. One of nine children born to Charles and Margaret Culligan in Belledune (formerly, Culligan), New Brunswick.
Paul is survived by brother, Bill (Theresa), sister, Gail (John, deceased), brother, Henry (Kathy), brother, Tom (Paul), sister, Susan (Julie), and Eugene’s ex-wife Denyse. Predeceased by sister Ann (Arthur), brothers Eugene and Gordon. Remembered by his twelve nephews and nieces. Resided for several years in Welland, Ontario after retiring. Special mention to brother, Bill and his wife, Theresa; brother, Henry; nephew, Dr. Chris, who supported Paul with needed care and attention during his illness. Also an abundance of gratitude to the Chapel Heights/A Senior Community Residence, Niagara Falls, Ontario’s doctor, nurses and staff for their special attention and care.
Paul was a kind and gentle soul and a person of few words. He loved his alone and quiet time. Paul was happiest when delving into a thoughtful and provoking book. Paul also had a good sense of humour with a contagious laugh. All his life he was a passionate vegetable and flower gardener from which he generously donated to his neighbours. Paul left home at the young age of seventeen to join his older brother, Bill, who was working for Ontario Hydro. After a few years he left Ontario Hydro for a short stint in the military (Airforce). Later returned to Ontario Hydro for the remainder of his working career after graduating as an Engineering Technician from Ryerson College in Toronto Ontario.
A celebration of life and burial of ashes will be held later in Belledune, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Niagara Project Share, cancer research or to a charity of your choice.
