Rachel (Valdron) Richard

 **Due to current Covid regulations anyone attending the funeral service or  reception must show proof of vaccinations and wearing of masks is mandatory.

The death of Rachel Richard from Dalhousie occurred at Hospice Fredericton, August 31, 2021 at the age of 83. Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Agatha (Couture) Valdron.

   Rachel is survived by her husband Gilles; daughters Lynda Richard (James Phinney) of Fredericton, Kim Richard (Peter Lockhart) of Fredericton; son Michel Richard (Danya Mozol) of Montreal; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren as well as her sister Lucy Nichol. She was predeceased by her brother Renald.

She will be remembered for her giving nature, sense of adventure and the particular touch she would add to any social event to make others feel special. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends whose lives she impacted with her love of life and laughter.

Her funeral service will be held on September 25 at 11 am at the St. Jean Baptiste church in Dalhousie followed by a reception  at the Recreaplex in Dalhousie

Le décès de Rachel Richard de Dalhousie est survenu à l'Hospice de Fredericton, le 31 août 2021 à l'âge de 83 ans. Née à Dalhousie, elle était la fille de feu de Leonard et Agatha (Couture) Valdron.

Rachel laisse dans le deuil son mari Gilles; filles Lynda Richard (James Phinney) de Frédéricton, Kim Richard (Peter Lockhart) de Frédéricton; fils Michel Richard (Danya Mozol) de Montréal; 6 petits-enfants, 2 arrière-petits-enfants ainsi que sa sœur Lucy Nichol. Elle a été précédée par son frère Renald.

On se souviendra d'elle pour sa nature généreuse, son sens de l'aventure et la touche particulière qu'elle ajouterait à tout événement social pour que les autres se sentent spéciaux. Elle sera manquée par sa famille et à ses nombreux amis dont elle a marqué la vie par sa joie de vivre et son rire.

Les funérailles auront lieu le 25 septembre à 11 heures à l’Église St. Jean Baptiste de Dalhousie suivi par une réception au Recreaplex de Dalhousie.
