Rhoda Margaret Lexie Murchie

February 9, 1935 - November 8, 2022

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rhoda Margaret Lexie Murchie of Nash Creek at the age of 87. Rhoda passed peacefully on the afternoon of November 8th, 2022, at the Villa Renaissance in Dalhousie with family by her side. 

The eldest daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Cook) Murchie, she is predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth LaPointe, Douglas and Barbara Ann Murchie. Rhoda leaves behind her sisters Teenie (Lorden) Driscoll and Dale Godin, brother Harvey (Carol) Murchie, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, to carry on her memory. 

Rhoda was known for her love of family, enthusiasm for birthday celebrations, and never forgetting a date. She remained a local to her family homestead land, visiting her neighbours and community for most of her years. She was a storyteller, sharing news and updates with anyone who would lend an ear. She was a kind soul, a kindred spirit. 

On behalf of Rhoda, her sister Dale wishes to thank Rhoda's former home-care workers, Tony, Donna and Edna, for their years of help and time by Rhoda's side. 

The family will hold a small, private service with immediate family and close friends. Arrangements are to be handled by MacMillan's Funeral Home in Black Point.
