Richard Barbour Obituary

Richard Barbour Jr.  August 21, 1939 - August 11, 2020

The death of Richard Barbour Jr. occured at his residence on August 11, 2020 at the age of 80.  Born in Dalhousie, he was the eldest son of the late Richard and Bernetta (Harris).  Richard is survived by his loving daughters Lori (Harvey) of Dalhousie, and Susan of Campbellton, grandchildren Sean (Natalie) of Oromocto, Chelsea (Moe) of Campbellton, Riley of Campbellton, great-granddaughter Alivia,  his sister Cameron Taylor of New Maryland, brothers Johnny (Theresa) of Dalhousie, Beanie of Newmarket, ON, Brian of Cornwall, ON, and his special friend Patricia Legacy, who took excellent care of him always.  He was predeceased by his beautiful wife Pennie (Penelope Quigley), sister Catherine (Caron) and brother Patrick.

Dad was  the paymaster at the mill and even to this day, he could see an old employee and rattle off their employee number.  He had an excellent memory and loved numbers.  An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed his quiet times in the wilderness.  He would get up early and go fishing before he went to work.  He passed on his love of fishing to his grandson Sean.

Times spent with family and friends, singing, eating great food, playing cards, and travelling were some of his favourite memories.  He had a great life.

Rest in peace Daddy, we love you.

As requested by Dad, there will be no funeral services.
