Rita Latulippe Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Rita Latulippe, our wonderful, fantastic, and loving mother, passed away on October 01, 2025, at Campbellton Regional Hospital.  Mom was blessed with 91 years that were filled with joy, laughter, adventure, some heartbreak (although we assure you there was more joy, laughter, and adventure), but most importantly, more love than can be possibly measured. Along with being the best Mom ever, she was a great sister, a kind and good-natured grandmother, a great-grandmother, a fun aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a faithful friend to many.  She would be hard-pressed to pass up a spin on the dance floor (doing her cute duck-like dance) and a cold Caesar to wet her whistle while out on the town.

Mom was the daughter of the late Audrey (Duncan) Ramsay and James Ramsay, and the wife of the late George Latulippe Sr. She was also predeceased by her son, George Latulippe Jr. (Norma), and daughter, Joanne Poirier (Richard).

Mom was survived by her devoted brother and faithful friend Ernest (Judd) Ramsay; her daughter (now the oldest in the family!!) Angela Grenier (John); her son Richard (Ricky); and her daughter, best friend, and partner in crime, Cindy (who will always be the baby of the family!!).  She doted on her grandchildren: Adam Landry, Kelly Landry, and Matthew Latulippe.  She doted a little more on her great-grandchildren Noah Laviolette, and Miles and Reya Carmichael.  It should be noted, she had a soft spot for Kelly’s husband, Matt Carmichael.

As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mom was the heart of our family.  Her kitchen was the gathering place for Sunday dinners, holiday celebrations, and impromptu family get-togethers.  Mom had a knack for remembering every birthday, anniversary, and important dates in her children's and grandchildren's lives, never failing to send a card or make a call. Her homemade bread, sweet biscuits, and holiday meat pies would give Martha Stewart a run for her money!!!!

Mom loved to travel, and her sense of adventure took her far and wide.  She climbed to the top of Diamond Head in Hawaii, braved the Jurassic World ride at Disney World, toured Buckingham Palace, gazed at Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower, and fulfilled a dream of touring Graceland.  She cruised the Caribbean and toured Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.  Regardless of near or far, Mom was always excited to see all that she got to see and appreciated every experience.

Although she is no longer with us, she will never leave us.  We will hear her voice in a gentle summer breeze and see her in the flowers that bloom.  Rest well and dance your heart out with the angels.

Special thanks and much love to the wonderful caretakers on the palliative ward at Campbellton Regional Hospital, who guided Mom and ensured her last adventure was peaceful, and to the staff at Sunrise Manor who lovingly cared for Mom over the past year.

A funeral Mass will be held at the St John Bosco Church, Dalhousie on October 07, 2025 at 2:30pm with family greeting guests one hour before the service.  Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
