Obituary
ROBERT GILBERT LECLAIR
The death of Robert Leclair of Dalhousie occurred Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 74. Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Denis and Nellie (Strong) Leclair.
In Roberts younger days he was employed at the mill in Ocean Falls B.C. Upon returning to his hometown in the late seventies he worked in construction as well as a longshoreman at the Port of Belledune. Robert then began driving cab in and around Dalhousie for forty years. His love for his family was first and foremost. He also loved a good card game, his camp, the woods and anything to do with the great outdoors.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Claudette Pelletier Leclair; son Chris (Monique) grandson Jack of Fredericton, NB. He is also survived by his son Jeff (Sonia) of Caledon Village, ON. grandchildren Kaya and Cole; daughter Jennifer Tynan of Sarnia ON. granddaughter Kaylene as well as his siblings Gwynn Forbes, Bernie, Morley and Wayne. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Donald, Sandra, Doris and infant brother Brian.
A celebration of life for Robert will be held at a later date. For those wishing to make a donation in his memory, the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
