Ronald MacIntosh Obituary

Ronald (Ron) MacIntosh

August 28th, 1946 – May 18th, 2025

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald (Ron) MacIntosh at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on May 18th, 2025, at the age of 78 of Cancer. Ron was the son of the late Joseph and Thea (McAuley) of Jacquet River.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sandra; children, Kim (Doug), Jessica (David), and Jonathan (Ghislain); and beloved grandchildren, Alexander, Grace, William, and John.

Ron was a hardworking and successful entrepreneur whose dedication extended far beyond his career and business endeavors. He embraced life with energy and purpose.  Ron loved his toys and was untouchable when driving his Harley, Jeep, and Snowmobile.  Snowmobiling was his true passion and he was an accomplished snowmobiler. With his wife following behind him they traveled together and were well know on the trails.  He was named “King of the Lake” for his speed and snowmobile racing capabilities.  Ron was instrumental in establishing the Super Village Trailblazers Snowmobile Club, which remains a strong and active part of the community.

Deeply rooted in the Belledune community, Ron was known to be a friendly and generous person who cared and was willing to help others in any way he could. He actively supported numerous local organizations through his volunteer work and contributions.  Ron was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, and Shriners.  He was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Patron for more than one term.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel United Church in Nash Creek. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion in Belledune. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bethel United Church. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.

We find strength and comfort in the words of Isaiah 40:31, knowing that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
