Roy Hickey

The death of Roy Hickey of Black Point occurred at his residence in Black Point, March 27, 2020 at the age of 68. Born in Lorne, he was the son of the late Henry and Evangeline (Carrier) Hickey.

Roy worked in the mines in Murdochville Quebec before moving back to NB.where he finished his career working for DNR where he was known as Ranger Roy. Roy was known for his love of hunting and fishing. You could find him fishing in the Bay of Chaleur for bass  or fishing for trout on his days off. He loved being in the woods and especially in the fall hunting with his son, brothers and nephews. He loved to play cards and also loved his music. You could always find him on the dance floor with his love Linda. He loved his family greatly.

Many thanks to the Extra Mural Nurses who helped care for Roy during his last weeks at home.
