November 25, 1928 ~ December 25, 2023 (age 95) 95 Years Old

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Theresa (Valdron) Leclair of Dalhousie, who passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital after a short illness on December 25th, 2023 at the age of 95. Born in Dalhousie, the daughter of the late Melvina (Ward) and the late Frank Valdron.
In her early years Theresa was known to many as Dalhousie’s Speed skating Wonder, wowing crowds with her talent as a teenager competing against women much older than her. She won many competitions and returned home from the Canadian intermediate Championship in Sudbury Ontario with three Bronze medals. (1946)
Theresa Loved playing cards, bingo, watching Family Feud, Price is Right, her favourite Montreal Canadians, baking but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grand children whom she dearly loved.
Theresa is survived by her daughter Bonnie Harquail (Ernest Buddy) and her son Michael Leclair (Sandra Benson). She will be sadly missed by her granddaughters Krista Harquail, Stacey Harquail, Jenny Lavigne (Kris), Alicia Harquail, Leta Guest, Bonita Buttery (Don), Holly Benson and her great grandchildren Hailey Harquail, Hannah Harquail, Kylee Harquail Simonson, Jacob Simonson, Madelyn Godin, Cassidy Godin, Abigail Godin, Brooklyn Godin, Blake Lavigne, Serena Lavigne, Calli Harquail, Keaton Guest, Cameron Guest, Anisha Buttery, Markus Elliot, Alex Benson, Levy Benson; great great granddaughter Violet Elliot as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her loving parents she was predeceased by her husband Raymond Leclair; grandson Michael; five brothers Leonard, Edmond, Edgar, Nelson Lloyd and Three sisters Virginia Hachey, Geneva Hachey and Kay Audfroid.
A special thank you to staff of Sunrise Manor, Dr. Vona MacMillan, Dr. Quintal, Dr. Patrick Thibeault and the staff of Surgical/Medical Floor of the Campbellton Regional Hospital for their Care.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation, The Cancer Society or to the Donor’s choice in her memory.
A funeral service will be held at the St John Bosco Church, Dalhousie on January 12, 2024 at 11am. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
